Women with ADHD experience greater challenges than do men with ADHD. Research has shown that the incidence of anxiety and depression in women, as well as the chance for serious psychiatric illness, is greater in women with untreated ADHD than for men. Women with ADHD are most likely to be the primary parent of their children, who are also likely to have ADHD – creating a very challenging set of circumstances. Hormonal fluctuations that begin with puberty and last until menopause and beyond also complicate the picture. This teleclass will focus on helping women understand the treatment and support that they need to succeed. The presenter will focus on creating ADHD-friendly lifestyle choices and ways to create an ADHD-friendly living environment that will lower stress and reduce ADHD symptoms.
