This class will provide an overview of multicultural perspective, exploring what is meant to have multicultural competence as a professional working with a diverse set of clients. It addresses the importance of understanding differences, and gaining the necessary skills to be a multicultural competent professional. The class also aims to increase mindfulness towards the damage professionals can cause when they are not trained to work with a multicultural competence in our growing diverse society.
