This Teleclass is designed to help professional organizers avoid falling into the role of amateur psychotherapist with their clients. Psychotherapy (aka counseling) requires specific education, training, and practice to be delivered safely— “winging it” is dangerous for the client and the organizer, and the line between empathy and therapy can be quite thin. Many POs don’t realize the harm they can do “just talking like a friend" to their clients.
