This class is designed for students interested in gaining a basic understanding of some complexities associated with clients who hoard.

It will include

• An introduction to hoarding behavior
• Discussion of the language of hoarding, including discussion of diagnosis vs. observation
• Introduction of the ICD Clutter – Hoarding Scale® and other tools
• Consideration of professional boundaries as they pertain to working with a person with hoarding behavior
• Introduction of safety practices for use in various levels of hoarded spaces
