Hoarding disorder (HD) is a complex disease. This teleclass will address some of that complexity including an  overview of the definition of HD according to the DSM-5. The presenter will define what comorbidity is and which disorders most commonly occur with HD. She will also review what causes HD using the hoarding model created by Steketee and Frost (2007, 2014) and will discuss other complex issues that may exacerbate HD. Finally, she will include some personal examples of her own challenges dealing with the comorbidities and complexities of some of her clients with HD.
