In this presentation we will discuss some insights from the field that is popularly known as NeuroArchitecture and about its interconnections with chronic disorganization.
How can the physical environment impact brain, behavior and wellbeing? Which are the effects that spaces of long-term occupation, such as our home, can generate?
Those who are impacted by chronic disorganization might be transforming their surroundings in a way that not only reinforces disorganisation habits, but also that affects their brain and health. Discussing physical and sensory environmental stimuli and its effects on individual’s brain and behavior can help in two main ways: better understanding about how the physical environment impacts us; and creating strategies to transform the space in order to nudge changes in habits and behavior.
NeuroArchitecture can bring new insights about the relationship between individuals and the environment (both organized and disorganized). In addition, the space can be a tool to trigger or nudge particular behaviors.
