Later life, third act, “of retirement age:” All ways to describe our clients who are called “seniors,” from age mid 50’s on up. Our presentation will be several case studies and follow these stages, as we share specific skills and approaches we used for collaborating, communicating, and connecting. Two case studies will focus on clients in their 50’s and 60’s, as they “retire” from their first career and settle into the next one. Two more case studies will focus on the next stage, clients in their 70’s and older, with cognitive challenges, family dynamics as parents age, absent or present adult children, and the differences in how the two clients move or age in place. Our intent is to discuss how we handle the communications, relationships, and interpersonal intelligence aspects to our roles
